I’ve alway found figures exaggerated to the positive side but I am worried this could be a white elephant that kills off the cab trade!

We’ve studied the different fast (22kW) and rapid (50kW) charging points and charges currently available in central London to determine the average cost of on-street electricity. Taking all these factors into consideration, it currently costs around 23p per kWH using a fast charger and 31p per kWh using a rapid charger, equivalent to between £5.35 and £7.21 for a full charge.

Comment on GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES NEW GRANTS FOR TAXI DRIVERS by LEVC https://www.theelectrictaxi.co.uk/2017/04/07/government-announces-new-grants-for-taxi-drivers/#comment-221 Tue, 31 Oct 2017 14:07:14 +0000 https://www.theelectrictaxi.co.uk/?p=278#comment-221 Hi Mark,
First year road tax is based on emissions and for TX is £10 (included in On the Road price). Thereafter all vehicles registered from April 2017 pay a Standard Rate of annual road tax of £140, regardless of emissions level.
However, vehicles priced at £40,000 or more are required to pay £310 per year in addition to the Standard Rate for the first 5 years

Year 1: £10
Years 2 – 6: £450
Year 7 onwards: £140

Because TX is a commercial vehicle, and its price a reflection of the strict Conditions of Fitness it must meet, we are working alongside trade associations to lobby for the removal of this additional list price-based levy.

Why did you not adopt the hybrid system that lexus use where the battery is charged through braking and coasting, this eliminates the need for a separate charge point.
Looking at various pictures of the interior it still looks like its got more cheap plastics than Airfix it is undoubtedly going to be priced alongside vehicles like Mercedes Jaguar BMW but the component interior parts are cheaper hard plastics.
